Ever struggle to explain addition with regrouping? Subtraction with regrouping? Long division? Polynomial or synthetic division? Basal arithmetic? James Tanton’s Exploding Dots activity (www.explodingdots.org) will strengthen the conceptual understanding of math students – and teachers! – of all ages in virtually every domain a teacher touches in school mathematics. We will work through some examples together as a group. 2015 Nebraska Teacher of the Year Shelby Aaberg will also share some resources that go along with the Exploding Dots curriculum and some resources from Twitter Math Camp 2018 in Cleveland, OH.
